During this three day weekend in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., I find myself trying to find beauty and peace in a stormy world. It seems as though Canada’s extremely cold winters are seeping into our northern American states, Kansas-style tornadoes are hitting Santa Cruz, and the Santa Ana winds have taken on such a fury that they toppled semi-trucks on LA’s super highway and ignited the houses of the stars. So in this maddening world, it seems best to stay warm, enjoy the simpler things in life, and ride out the storms that seem to have just begun.
